Part-Time/Contractor HTML/JS/CSS Developer (Ottawa)

Ottawa - web - 9 min 41 sec ago
We are a Web Development company that works with a variety of clients and partners and are continually faced with delivering miracles. So...we need you to help us get some work done!

Specifically we need a Web Developer who is willing to work on their own time from their own house/office/coffee shop/etc. on a wide variety of small tasks ranging from creating web pages, posting content into CMS systems, graphic production/editing, simple web programming, and more.

Is this you?
* You can code a standards compliant web page...HTML, xHTML, Strict, Transitional, W3C...you know what these things are and what a valid web page is...and yes, we're going to test you on this!
* You both love and hate Adobe Dreamweaver
* You can work with Adobe Photoshop
* Subversion...being familiar with version control software/techniques is nice, but not essential
* You are willing to work quickly, but efficiently when tasks are assigned to you
* You can deliver on a deadline, even if it means staying up late...let's face it, sometimes we just get things late and still have to deliver on time
* If you're in the Ottawa-Gatineau area, that's a nice bonus so we could meet in person from time to time, but most of this work will be remotely handed off and monitored, so that isn't critical nor will it be a key deciding factor in who we choose to work with
* You know some more advanced stuff like jQuery, AJAX, JavaScript or are at least interested in knowing these things and willing to learn them

What is is like on MARS?
We're a small group of dedicated humans who thrive on the challenge of delivering on unique requirements employing innovative techniques and technologies that range from simple websites, to social media applications, to custom built web applications. We also do boring and simple stuff too!

OK...so you're going to take a run at this:
Send us your resume and samples of your work, we'll send you back a quick test to verify you've got what it takes! Please include your desired hourly rate.

We go through all submitted resumes. Only candidates selected for interviews will be contacted, so please no phone calls. Thanks for your interest!

Flash Designer Needed (Work from Home)

LA - web - Tue, 03/09/2010 - 22:44
I need some Flash Designers to start working now. If you cannot work this week, starting 3/10/10 please do not respond. You must live in the United States - please no offshore companies!!

This is very simple Flash animation, just time consuming. Basically fancy slide shows with some detailed transitions and syncing to audio. You must know Flash in and out in order to work fast enough for us.
You MUST have an iPhone.

Each slide show is about :45 to 1:00 minute long. I takes about 1.5 hours to animate one of these slide shows. We pay $30 per slide show you animate. Some may take less than 1.5 hours, some may take a tad more, but you will average 1.5 hours. I have 100's of these files, so the more you do, the more you make.

You will be required to sign an NDA and a non-compete. The non-compete doesn't prohibit you from working with another employer, you just can't work on another project like this one. This project is very specific.
