Web Design & Maintenance Contract (Potomac, MD)

Tue, 06/08/2010 - 12:38
During the past year I have developed a small web-based business which allows users to nominate people for various things, allows internet users to vote on the various nomination stories to determine a winner, and process nomination fees via credit card securely over the web. We are currently putting the site through its beta testing, and plan to officially launch in early July. While my current web designers have done a great job of getting the site to where it is, I am currently looking for a long-term solution for the maintenance, improvement, and possible redevelopment of the website portion of the business.

Right now our website is built using PHP and CakePHP, and I'd like to develop both a Facebook app and an iPhone app to go along with it.

In its current form, the website has a somewhat unprofessional feel to it, can run somewhat slow on occasion, and leaves something to be desired on the backend. I'm open to proposals for improving and building on what we have, as well as proposals to rebuild the site from scratch to improve its look, feel, and efficiency. The ultimate goal is to create a fast, beautiful, professional-looking database driven website with e-commerce functions, Facebook and iPhone integration, and ultimately integration with one or two other online stores (if possible). I'm also looking for a team which knows its stuff when it comes to Google Optimization, Facebook Advertising, etc.

I am specifically looking for a professional U.S. based web-design team instead of a single programmer. I'd open to discussing both flat rates for contracting your services, hourly rates, as well as other possible means of compensation (such as compensation earned on a per-sale basis).

If you'd be interested in discussing this project further, please e-mail us. We'll send you a Non-Disclosure agreement (NDA) to sign, and then we can take it from there. Signing the NDA can be accomplished by having an officer or agent of your company type in their name with a dash before and after their name. (Since the name of the company is the same as the name of the website, I am temporarily going to abbreviate the company name as TAA LLC to avoid disclosing our branding strategy. Please note that the full name of the company will be disclosed upon agreement with the Non-Disclosure agreement.)
