Force.com Sales Intelligence App Needs SEO and YOU (Manhattan Beach)

Thu, 07/01/2010 - 01:06
InsideAxis has a problem. We have a truly impressive product/service built on the popular Force.com platform, but no one knows about it! We’ve spent nearly a year developing our application(s), and we need an intelligent and hungry SEO sniper to help build and drive a well-executed, bootstrap SEO strategy.

We have millions of potential customers who work in the high tech sales, marketing and recruiting arenas. They will be drawn to InsideAxis by the quality of our data, the simplicity of our user interface and the price at which it’s delivered.

We compete with the following websites:

Essential SEO functions we need:

• SEO technical analysis and evaluation

• Keyword discovery and expansion

• Research and analyze competitive websites

• Back link strategy and implementation

• SEO technical analysis and evaluation

• Website remediation

• Key phrase research

• META optimization

• Provide support for search engine optimization recommendations

• Interact with copywriter and web service manager to optimize copy and landing pages for Search Engine Marketing.

• Stay up to date on the latest industry developments

We are not interested in any one-size-fits-all mechanical approaches. We want someone who is going to take the time to analyze InsideAxis, our industry/competitors, and

who has an interest in developing a long term (and potentially lucrative) relationship.

First, please give us some useful information about yourself. What is your background? What experience do you have in SEO? We want to hear about what you have achieved in the past.

Second, go to InsideAxis.com. Do a preliminary analysis of it. Tell us what you see (Don’t hold back. You won’t hurt our feelings). Give us an assessment of what you see as the site's strengths and weaknesses. Tell us what you think needs to be done to make it rank high on Google and other search engines.

Lastly, we need to discuss cost. We don’t currently have a huge budget, but can afford approximately $500/month. We can discuss a potential profit sharing play after a few successful months. Finally, other things being equal, we prefer a person rather than a company, and someone local rather than someone far away.

Our names are Ryan and Brian. We are the co-founders.

Mobile App / Social Gaming Startup Building Founding Team

Tue, 06/29/2010 - 13:47
WeQuest is a location-based social entertainment/gaming startup in the process of building a small founding team of energized people to get us to series A funding. Ideal candidates will have as much passion for travel, exploration and adventure as they do for the technology they create. We are developing a platform that unleashes the explorer in all of us, so our team members need to share that sense of adventure.

The intitial WeQuest platform includes a rich location aware handheld app running on iPhone, BlackBerry and Android coupled with a web back-end that serves up content. The web side will also allow the creation of content by pros and amateurs alike.

More detail on what we're doing will be provided to qualified candidates. But for now think Foursquare or Gowalla, but a lot more fun. And a lot more profitable.

We're looking for several key initial team members:

Lead Web Arhcitect and Developer: This person will own the creation of our public website. They must have experience architecting complex database driven sites with rich user interfaces. This person must also have experience with ecommerce implementations; experience with micropayments via cell phones would be fantastic. You may not be doing all the work on the initial website, but you'll be specifying all of it. All the usual acronyms apply: HTML/XML, PHP, Python, SQL, etc.

Lead Mobile App Developer: This person will lead development of the WeQuest handheld app on a minimum of two platforms. Initially, this person will spec out the functionality then translate this implementations on iPhone, Android and BlackBerry. You must have experience writing complex mobile apps on at least one of the platforms, preferably iPhone (I have BlackBerry covered). Experience in location aware apps is highly prized. Skills: Java ME, Java SE, Objective C.

We are also looking for 1-2 additional developers looking to contribute full or part time. Skills required are in line with the descriptions above.

We are tyring to build a great team here, so you must be highly creative, great at brainstorming and coming up with unique solutions. The founder members of WeQuest will set the direction for the company and need to work extremely well together.

Our goal is to get to a working, playable prototype in 6 months or less then start signing up users via social networking marketing. Once we have a bit of momentum, we'll take the company for series A funding. We have a lot of expereince in venture capital fundraising, but we need a proto first. There's still a lot of money to be raised for companies with a unique product and the contacts to make it work.

This is a "sweat equity" opportunity at this point. We have a small budget, so you'll be compensated in founder's stock until series A is complete. Everyone will share equally in proportion to the work put in.

So if you're looking to get in on something fun and new, shoot us a resume or note highlighting your experience and we'll talk.
