Rapid graphics / FBML job www.join1goal.org (Anywhere you can be)

Thu, 06/10/2010 - 11:52
Greetings from Johannesburg!

We're writing from the heart of World Cup madness with an urgent request for help. We're the 1GOAL campaign, a world-wide FIFA backed non-profit initiative that unites top soccer players (footballers to everyone else) global superstars and millions of fans from every country to secure quality education for every child as the lasting legacy of World Cup 2010. It's a huge campaign, but we're a small, scrappy team. And right now, we need your help!

We're looking to work some quick Facebook magic to launch the 1GOAL Squad -- the best team at the world cup. Our team starts with some of the worlds best known current and legendary footballers, and will expand as fans around the world sign up to add their support. The idea just came together in it's final form in the last few days, and now we have literally 1 day to get the basic version online before the first day of the tournament.

In Joberg, it's already 4:30 PM. But in the Bay, it's the crack of dawn. So our hope is that we can find someone skilled in basic graphic design (actually all we need right now is to just take a bunch of head shots from different backgrounds and merge them into a nice looking montage) and Facebook wizardry (or at least decent FBML skills) who can take on this brief in the next few hours and then make it shine while we sleep, so we're ready to announce to the world by our tomorrow morning.

It's probably less than a few hours work for the right person, (this round of the project is really rather simple) but if it goes well we may need similar and more sophisticated assistance throughout the World Cup.

So if you're up for helping a great cause and can turn on a time, send a quick note that describes your experience with some links to previous relevant projects.

Thanks!
