I need a computer whiz\hacker\skiptracer (burnaby)
I'm sorry if this is the wrong place to post this ad, but I didn't know what else to do. I need someone to help me find someone who is trying to hurt me. I am being criminally harassed by someone who doesn't want me to find them. This person is evil and needs to be stopped. I have a few ideas of who it could be, and a little information, but I don't understand their motives. Nevertheless, hopefully for my sake, this work won't be a full time thing. However, I will pay you whatever is reasonable if you can find this person for me. Please just name your price, but be reasonable. This person has been targeting my business, and is very aggressive, which has hurt my bottom line. Incidently, this is a service that you could very well turn into a business or a profitable sideline, and one that I am sure is sorely needed with people like these out there.
My name is Hugh Francis, and I can be reached at 604-716-3797. Please help if you can, and all the best on finding something that gives you what you need.

Programmer/Database Intern Required (Yaletown)
Trestle Resources Incorporated (www.trestleresources.ca) is a software development company with a forward thinking attitude in the development of next generation hardware/software requirements. We are a unique environment with a fractal approach toward our culture, methods, and each other. It is not unusual for staff to stay over night, and work and play for days at a time, to promote the positive attitude and synergy within the teams.
We want individuals who are interested in abstract problem solving, and able to function outside of the rules rather then trapped within linear programmatic guidelines functioning independently of existing frameworks. The individual must be relaxed in attitude, yet perfectionist and obsessive to the point of dreaming in code, then waking up because they solution appeared in their sleep, yet also, efficient and expedient in their project development preferring to take 1 day to finish a project, rather than 3 months.
9 to 5er's are boring and unwelcome.
If you are a programmer who abhors duplication, copy/pasting and quick lazy hacks to solve a problem then send us your resume.
Authors note:
I was going to write down a slew of programming languages required, and databases required, but at the end of the day, i realized that it doesn't matter. What matters isn't what you know as much as what you're willing to learn. In my experience - if an individual is all about open source then they're narrow minded; and conversely if an individual is all about Microsoft' then they again are closed minded. The reality is, that if there was a perfect language, we'd all be using it, and if there was a perfect OS we'd all be using it and if there was a perfect framework, we'd all be using it - until such time as someone hacks it, and it is no longer perfect...
If you are the coder/db guy that learned 'because you want to make big money because it is good industry' then um... yeah... you won't even remotely fit in! Passion folks! Lots and lots of passion!! We want mavericks! People that actually enjoy coding so much that getting paid is almost an oh yeah, i get paid for this hahah! People who actually invent stuff, and think 'hey! i can sell this!!!! woah!" cuz you know what? we'll likely help you sell it cuz everyone deserves to be encouraged to see the fruition of their work!
if you're this personality, then you're who i want. Because then I don't mind paying you as you're not one of the many sheep that came out of a school, who does what everyone else does, and codes as everyone else codes, and hasn't an innovative blood cell in their body.
GIRL CODER VERY WELCOME!! Girl coders/db people, whom I've been privileged to work with in the past, are so under-rated! Don't be under-rated! Contact us!!!!
We're a young team! 20 to 30 and absolutely nuts! If you think you can fit in? Send me a resume at careers@trestleresources.ca with 'yes I know this is an intern starting position! in the subject line, with 2 paragraphs (no coverletters), as to why you think you're what i described, and of course your cv!
I am a programmer and a database administrator so you'll be working closely with me and the other candidates who are selected. Those who rise to the top end up getting paid!

RE:Build and format New Web Site (West Vancouver)
Hello there
May 18th is your deadline? wow, i wonder why you didn't wait till the 17th to publish this posting. Did you just wake up and decided that you NEED a web site?
My suggestion to you is change the due date from May 18, 2010 to something more feasible.
You describe a potentially large amount of work. Even though it may not seem like a lot of work to you, making a site is usually a lot of work.
Today is May 5, which leaves you with 2 weeks to get the site done - which includes design, database design (if you want it to be updatable) as well as development. 2 weeks is just too short of a time to produce anything quality.
I am not sure why your deadlines are so tight, but if you are serious about your business, you tend to plan things, which you didn't.

Programmer/DB Position (YaleTown)
Hi,
Trestle Resources Incorporated http://www.trestleresources.ca
We are a new company as of mid 2009 and in need of a programmer with database experience.
Must have experience in at least 1 or more of the following:
Programming:
PHP, Classic ASP 3.0, ASP.NET (C#), ColdFusion, Java (J2EE+)
mySQL, postgreSQL, MSSQL
stored procs, triggers, IO triggers (if you're using mySQL you won't know what an IO trigger does, since mySQL doesn't support them), view management, DTS
front end must be CSS 2 minimum though we're running more toward CSS 3
XHTML 1.1 Strict
JSON/XML (must know both)
JQuery
You're going to be tested, on whatever it is you have on your resume, so be sure to not embelish, because you'll jst get caught.
Now the job:
We are a new company which - as a software company - has acquired 2 other companies, requiring more programming and development than i can personally handle at this time.
we have our own structure, so if you're interested in working with a particular framework, tough, you're not going to be able to use it, as i prefer coders that can actually code.
i have a preference toward textpad, not any of the silly UI's that hog resources, however, of course, eclipse is fine. dreamweaver people? yeah, it's good to know that but not useful because it is an indicator to your level of programming experience.
I will be taking all that you think you know now, and destroying it, in order to teach you a new way to program, and a new way to deal with databases.
the projects:
ERP modules such as:
CMS, CRM, HRMS, DMS, PIM, etc
if this job posting sounds a little hmmm, less then politically correct, it's because i've received a lot of resumes in the past that just are full of it. I'm not interested in those kinds of people any longer. I'd rather you have virtually no experience, with an apptitude for programming, then to declare yourself a guru to find out you spend your entire day, searching how to do it on google.
The best programmer, gets the job, and gets to learn my funky way of managing data, state, and user interactivity.
This is an intern position, and most of your time will be used up learning, not producing, for the first 2 - 3 weeks.
you can contact me at: careers@trestleresources.ca with 2 paragraphs (not a coverletter) descibing why you're interested in this position, and your CV.
Your skill set is more important to me, then your references. the best coders usually aren't that easy to get along with :)
look forward to hearing from you!

ERP modules such as:
CMS, CRM, HRMS, DMS, PIM, etc
