Do you have what it takes to join our team of industry leading game designers, artists, and engineers? We're looking for talented flash developers to contribute to our browser-based games. Candidates should be savvy developers who have the right mix of skills, talent, and experience to create high quality and addictive gameplay.

Responsibilities
• Develop data-driven web-based games (single and multiplayer) using ActionScript 3 and Flex
• Ensure a robust, clean, bug-free user experience (extremely high attention to detail is a must!)
• Create clean, well-documented, and extensible code

Requirements
• Minimum of 5 years of Flash, ActionScript, and/or Flex experience (game development experience preferred)
• Extremely strong AS3 skills a must
• Experience using Eclipse IDE with FDT3 (or similar)
• Familiarity with mxmlc application compiler (or similar)
• Understanding and experience with PureMVC framework
• Strong communications and planning skills

We are a two-plus year old, profitable game company and we are growing. Our clients include some of the best in the business such as Disney, Playdom and Zynga; we develop our own IP as well. Our team consists of seasoned veterans from throughout the game industry and hot young talent as well from companies such as Blizzard and Slide.

Design and implement front-end features that improve user acquisition, activation, and engagement.
Work with data analytics and marketing to brainstorm and prioritize project ideas and get them done.
Code primarily in PHP, Javascript, HTML & CSS
Build efficient and reusable front-end abstractions and systems
Identify and address performance bottlenecks
Identify and communicate best practices for front-end engineering

Requirements

B.A./B.S. in Computer Science or a related technical field
Rapid learner who thrives in a fast-paced environment
Extremely detail oriented. Strives for pixel perfect implementation in all browsers
Unmistakable passion for user interfaces
Expert knowledge of web technologies (HTML/CSS/JS)
Experience with scripting languages (PHP, Python, Perl, etc.)
Ability to write well-abstracted, reusable code for UI components
Experience working with HTML/CSS/JS in high-performance environments
3+ years of experience building web applications

Drupal Web Producer (Austin, TX (Virtual Office))

Jackson River is looking for a Web Producer to assist and lead on a wide variety of online technology consulting and implementation projects. You will work with a very talented, skilled, and passionate team on technology projects ranging from open source CMS implementations to organization wide technology initiatives.  While doing so, you get to work with some of the most influential and respected progressive nonprofit organizations and foundations. This is an ideal role for an entry level developer or expert Webmaster.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work daily in the Drupal CMS creating new views, content types, and updating site themes.

Jackson River is seeking an experienced Drupal developer with a broad range of skills primarily in a LAMP environment to join our dynamic, growing technology team. Experience with Drupal implementations, module development, and themeing are essential. This position is ideal for a developer with 3+ years experience in Web development and 2+ years experience working with Drupal.Our fast-paced work environment requires practical thinking, flexibility and a commitment to excellence. This position is in Washington, DC, Raleigh, NC or Austin TX. Extremely skilled developers outside of those areas may be considered, but our office locations are preferred.
